2 Carat Lab-Grown Diamonds.

A two-carat diamond can mean very different things in the real world. Compare its millimeter dimensions, outline, cut behavior, and visible presence, not carat weight alone.

Useful detail, not more noise.

Two carats is a starting point, not a full specification.

Carat is a unit of weight, not a direct measurement of how large a diamond appears from above. Two stones with the same carat weight can have different length, width, depth, outline, and light performance. That is why IDAN starts a two-carat search with the actual report and measurements, then brings the visual context into the conversation.

Start with the millimeters

Read length, width, and depth alongside carat weight. The outline and face-up spread tell you more about the visual footprint than a rounded carat label by itself. In a finished ring, the setting and finger coverage also change the final impression.

Shape changes the conversation

A round brilliant, oval, emerald, cushion, or radiant can distribute its weight differently. Elongated shapes may create more length on the finger, while step cuts reveal a calmer hall-of-mirrors pattern and brilliant shapes emphasize sparkle. There is no single best outline, only the outline that fits the buyer.

Keep the premium brief honest

IDAN’s standard sourcing brief is D/E/F color, VS1/VVS2/VVS1 clarity, and Ideal or Excellent cuts where the lab report provides a cut grade. For fancy shapes, we inspect symmetry, polish, proportions, and video context rather than pretending one label answers every question.

Compare actual stones, not promises

A credible price comparison names the shape, measurements, certificate number, color, clarity, cut or finish grades, fluorescence when available, and the retailer’s total price. IDAN avoids a universal savings promise because the stones being compared must actually match.
